In a separate operation of RAB in Sirajganj, Bangladesh, 6 drug dealers were arrested

Separate raids by RAB in Sirajganj’s Sadar, Raiganj and Enayetpur led to the arrest of six drug dealers, including Yaba, Phensidyl and domestic distilled liquor.

On Thursday (January 21) at around 2:15 pm, based on a tip-off, a vigilante expedition led by RAB-12’s Special Company Commander, (Media Officer) Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhammad Mohiuddin Miraj visited the office of Zaheer Brix in Sonakhara village under Raiganj police station in Sirajganj district. A drug dealer named Nur Hossain (60) was arrested with 6 liters of domestic distilled liquor from the west side.

He is the son of late Ramzan Ali of Srirampur village in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district. He was handed over to the police station along with the recovered evidence after filing a case with the police station.

In another operation, three drug dealers were arrested along with 94 pieces of yaba, three mobile phones and Tk 1,100 in cash from a side street adjacent to Sri Sri Mahaprabhu’s temple at Sialkol Amtala Bazar in Sadar upazila of Sirajganj district. They are: Shri Barun Sharma (25), father-deceased Binoy Chandra Sharma, Shri Indrajith Shah (24), father- Shri Gopal Shah, Shri Sagar Shah (21), father-Shri Madan Chandra Shah, all of them live in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila. In the village of Shyalkol. A case has been filed against the arrested at Sirajganj Sadar Police Station and the recovered evidence has been handed over to the police.

On the same day, RAB-12 conducted another operation. At around 10:30 pm, they raided Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College and Hospital in Enayetpur upazila of Sirajganj district and arrested two drug dealers along with 138 bottles of Fencidil. The arrested are: Md. Adu Mia (28), father-deceased Shafiqul Islam, village-Muralipur, Thana-Palashbari, District-Gaibandha and Md. Mahbub Mir (24), father-Md. Maharaj Mir, Village-Arua Sonargaon, Thana-Rajapur, District-Jhalokati. A case was filed against them at Enayetpur police station and the recovered evidence was handed over to the police.
