RAB-12 arrested 2 people including heroin in Tangail. According to RAB, the company commander of RAB-12, CPC-3, Tangail, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Ershadur Rahman led the campaign.

The expedition team conducted an operation on a brick road on the south side adjacent to the post office at Balla Bazar in Kalihati upazila of the district.

At that time 2 people were arrested with 3 grams of heroin. The arrested are the son of the late Amjad Ali of Balla village in Kalihati upazila of Tangail district. Shawkat Ali (48) and the son of the late Nasher Ali. Sohail (30).

The SIM card along with two mobile phones and Rs 500 in cash were seized from them. When questioned in front of the witnesses, the accused said that he had been collecting heroin illegally for a long time and supplying it for sale in different areas of Kalihati police station in Tangail district.
